Multiple Fuel Injection Strategies for Compression Ignition Engines

چکیده
Until the early 1990s, predominant method of fuel delivery for compression ignition engines was mechanical pump-line-nozzle system. These systems typically consisted a cam-driven pump that would send pressurized to injectors where injection timing fixed according pressure needed overcome spring injector needle. configurations were robust; however, they limited single event per thermodynamic cycle and respectively low pressures 200–300 bar. Due their flexibility, poorly mixed highly stratified air mixture result in produce elevated levels both nitrogen oxides particulate matter. The onset stringent emissions standards caused advancement technology eventually led proliferation high-pressure common rail electronic systems. This system brought about two major advantages, first being operation at up 2500 allowed better atomization spray penetration improves mixing degree charge homogenization mixture. second is allows flexible precise quantity while allowing multiple events cycle. To supply guidance this area, effort reviews experimental history strategies involving diesel biodiesel fuels through 2019. Summaries are supplied each highlighting literature consensus on mechanisms influence noise, performance, based timing, amount, type injected during strategies.

متن کاملDevelopment of a Flame Propagation Model for Dual-Fuel Partially Premixed Compression Ignition Engines
A new combustion model is developed and applied to simulate combustion in dual-fuel engines in which the premixed natural gas is ignited by the combustion flame initiated by a diesel spray. The model consists of a diesel auto-ignition model and a flame propagation model. A G-equation model previously developed to simulate SI engine combustion was incorporated with an auto-ignition model to simu...
